The view goes into the distance. The smell of forest is in the air. The brook bubbles behind the house. Whether you come in from the everyday jungle or from a long mountain tour: as soon as you enter the Linde, you relax.
A Black Forest hotel surrounded by trees, meadows and steep mountain walls. The Linde is situated between the rolling hills of the Markgräflerland wine region and the mountain domes of the Upper Black Forest. The ideal starting point for those who like to be outdoors and still want a dose of design and culture.
Are you someone who needs a coffee first thing in the morning before you go out to meet other people? Relatable. That’s why we bring freshly brewed coffee to your room every morning on request, so that you can wake up relaxed before you go to a country house breakfast in the fireplace room.
Our suites also have their own small espresso and tea bar.

Food never tastes as good as out on the mountain! That’s why there are hiking backpacks for our guests in every room at the Linde, which we are happy to fill with a delicious packed lunch – Vesper in badish (with “sch”) – for our guests on request (subject to a charge).
Black Forest hotel experience with a dog: with us, four-legged friends are just as welcome as two-legged friends. In the Münstertal, directly behind the Linde start many hikes that are also perfect for dogs.
In the evening, a sauna session with a view of the trees loosens tense muscles and makes you fit for the next mountain tour. Our sauna can be booked for private use (not possible on our rest days) and we will provide you with a bag of bathrobes, slippers and extra-large bath towels in your room.
I want to ride my bicycle – for our guests we now have 2 e-bikes from “My Esel” for rent. The bikes with the wooden frame come from a sustainable, fair production that combines high automation with regional craftsmanship. So get on the bike and go!
For about 400 years guests have been pampered in a special way in the Linde. In 1642 the linden tree is mentioned for the first time in the documents of the Krumlinden municipality. Here used to be the community parlor and the public community square under the linden tree.
As children of a family of architects and hoteliers, Marc and Jens Brune took over the Linde and gradually renovated it with respect for the long history of the house. As in their hotels on Norderney, the result is an interplay of tradition and new ideas, of roots and wings, of gnarled Black Forest fir wood and light, Nordic-inspired design.
Longing for the sea? Through our family history we have also landed on Norderney – and so today we run the hotels Inselloft, Seesteg and Haus am Meer, as well as Café Marienhöhe and Milchbar.
